SwiftKey 5.10 Update Promises Performance Improvements

SwiftKey, one of the most popular Android keyboards, has received another performance update, reducing the lag by ’15-20%’. The update also brings support for 12 new Indian languages, which is always nice to have. SwiftKey is also your best option if you want to use more than one language with minimal effort.

Swiftkey 5.10

One of the most popular Android features over the years has been the support for third-party keyboards. SwiftKey has been ruling this area for a while now. However one complaint thus far has been about the prominent lag – so prominent that I’ve never gotten myself to use it for more than a couple of days at a stretch.

The twelve Indian languages for which support has been added are:

  • Assamese
  • Bengali
  • Gujarati
  • Kannada
  • Malayalam
  • Marathi
  • Oriya
  • Punjabi
  • Tamil
  • Telugu
  • Nepali
  • Sinhala

SwiftKey is now free, with additional themes being offered as in-app purchases.
