Remember HTC had promised to bring the Android 4.4 KitKat update to the HTC One Google Play edition (GPe) in 15 days? They have delivered from their side on this one within the timeframe they set.
Good news, we’ve delivered KitKat code to Google for HTC One GPE. Timing of push via PlayStore to be determined by Google.

The non-GPe HTC One
will get the KitKat update in 90 days, probably around February next year, with an updated version of Sense UI, whether or not your device is carrier-locked. That’s a bold one, so we’ll have to wait and see, but the GPe promise has been fulfilled.
It’s up to Google now to push out the update.
