An unnamed quad core Nokia WP8 device has popped up on popular GPU benchmarking website GFXBench (previously known as GLBenchmark). Unfortunately the results don’t reveal much about the SoC used in the device. But it is sure that this device packs a quad core CPU.
The GPU is an Adreno 305 but again the benchmark results are closer to Adreno 320. However we have seen in the past that Adreno GPUs can be overclocked/optimized to give much better performance in benchmarks. The SoC could possibly be a Snapdragon 400 with a quad core Cortex-A7 CPU. The benchmark results also mention a 720p display.
Could this be the 41MP EOS? Possibly not. Benchmark results are looking promising but that beast will require much more firepower – probably Snapdragon 800 and Adreno 330. It appears to me that Nokia is trying to prepare some mid range quad core WP8 devices to beat the tough competition from droid army. Afterall specs sell!
